Establishement

The Ancestor to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was the School of Maritime Transport Studies established in 1993 as one of the faculties of the University of Al Sharq and when it  was divided into three new universities Rad Sea University, Kassala University and Al Gadarif University the School of Maritime Transport Studies became the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in the year 1994 and the School became one of the departments of the faculty under the name of the Department of Maritime Transport Economics, the Faculty is considered the sole faculty in the country that has a department for maritime transport economics .The faculty is located in Port Sudan the metropolitan of the Red Sea State and the main port of Sudan. All courses in the faculty are taught in Arabic and English is used as an auxiliary language.

The faculty passed through three periods since it’s establishment:

The First Period:

  1. Department of Maritime Transport Economics.
  2. Department of Pure Economics.
  3. Department of Management and Accounting.

The Second Period:

  1. Department of Maritime Transport Economics.
  2. Department of Statistics and Population Studies.
  3. Department of Pure Economics.
  4. Department of  Business Administration.
  5. Department of Accounting.
  6. Department of Rural Development.

The Third Period:

  1. Department of Basic Classes.
  2. Department of Maritime Transport Economics.
  3. Department of Statistics and Population Studies.
  4. Department of Pure Economics.
  5. Department of Business Administration.
  6. Department of Accounting.
